Writer, doctor and volunteer Henry Marsh to visit Ukraine again
May 10, 2024
The world-famous British neurosurgeon, author of bestselling books on life and medicine, volunteer and philanthropist Henry Marsh will give public lectures in Kyiv for everyone. The doctor often visits Ukraine during the Great War, joins volunteer initiatives, expresses his support for the Ukrainian people and defends Ukraine's interests in the world.
On 15 May, Henry Marsh will give two lectures at the Cultural and Artistic Centre of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy at 9 Illinska St. The topics of the lectures are: ‘Ethics in Teamwork, Communication between Managers and Subordinates, and Principles of Teaching Young People “ and ”Evidence in Medicine and Evidence-Based Medicine’.
The meeting with the famous Briton was organised by the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the private higher medical education institution Dobrobut Academy, and the NGO Ukrainian-Swiss Project for the Development of Medical Education.
Nana Voitenko, rector of the Dobrobut Academy, notes that Henry Marsh's lectures will be interesting and useful not only for physicians, but also for books by his authors.
"Henry Marsh is a man who is a symbol of consistent and warm support for Ukraine. His confidence in our victory is extremely inspiring. I strongly recommend attending Henry's lectures not only to medical students and doctors, but also to anyone who wants to take a fresh look at team relationships, find new meanings, rethink values and understand their importance for progress in any business, feel the power of a community of like-minded people, and feel how strong the support for Ukraine among global intellectuals remains."
Entrance to the event is by registration. And, optionally, by donation.
